Magic: The Gathering’s Most Valuable Cards of 2026 So Far

Magic: The Gathering’s 2026 has been wild so far, and that’s before we head back to Middle-earth and into a Star Trek set soon.

So far we’ve returned to fan-favorite plane Lorwyn, met up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, learned some new spells at Strixhaven, and assembled the Avengers, and there are a whole bunch of desirable cards already.

Using data from TCGplayer, these are 2026’s most valuable cards so far – do you have any in your collection?

Thanos, The Mad Titan – Borderless – $240

The first card from the Marvel Super Heroes set on this list, Thanos, the Mad Titan’s borderless, comic cover style card is around $240.

It’s a 4/4, but powers up using the set’s new mechanic to wipe half the battlefield, just like his infamous snap.

Super Shredder – Showcase Fracture Foil – $314

The first TMNT card here, Super Shredder is a two-cost 1/1 with Menace, and it gets bigger as cards leave the battlefield.

The Showcase Fracture Foil is north of $300 right now.

Bloom Tender – Showcase Fracture Foil – $350

The only card from Lorwyn Eclipsed on this list, Bloom Tender’s Showcase Fracture Foil is around $350.

A great “mana dork”, Bloom Tender taps for each color among permanents you control, making it an ideal inclusion for any deck that has access to green.

Cyclonic Rift – JP Alt Art Silver Scroll Foil – $412

Whether you can read Japanese or not, these four Silver Scroll Foil cards are fresh printings of some of Magic’s most powerful spells as part of the Secrets of Strixhaven Mystical Archive.

Cyclonic Rift returns a nonland permanent to an opponent’s hand, but if you overload it, you can do it to each permanent

This version is $412 right now, but has been dropping a little.

Jeska’s Will – JP Alt Art Silver Scroll Foil – $505

Jeska’s Will is an iconic red spell, letting you add red mana for each card in an opponent’s hand, or exile the top three cards of your library to play this turn. Control your Commander? You can do both.

This JP Alt Art Silver Scroll is the first card on this list to break the $500 mark.

Vampiric Tutor – JP Alt Art Silver Scroll Foil – $730

One mana and two life to put any card in your deck to the top of your library? Vampiric Tutor is a truly legendary spell.

This version of it will set you back a huge $730.

Force of Will – JP Alt Art Silver Scroll Foil – $985

Force of Will caps off the Mystical Archive, almost reaching $1,000. It allows its wielder to counter a spell by paying 1 life and exiling a blue card from their hand to counter a spell.

It was worth more than $1,150 not long ago, so it has dropped considerably in recent months.

The Mind Stone – Borderless – $1,600

I felt sure this would be top, but The Mind Stone and its $1,600 price tag aren’t enough to get higher up on this list.

The second Infinity Stone in Magic’s Marvel sets is an indestructible artifact in White, but there’s a super-limited version yet to be found. When it is, expect it to jump to the top spot.

Gold-Stamped Signature Turtles – $2,000 – $2,900

The four Turtles got special versions signed by franchise creator Kevin Eastman, and the prices range from $2,000 to almost $3,000!

Emeritus of Ideation – Retro Frame, Serial-numbered – $3,000

Emeritus of Ideation tops our list, with this serial-numbered retro frame version of one of Secrets of Strixhaven’s most popular cards.

Functionally the same as a $7 version, it staples a powerful Prepared spell (Ancestral Recall) to a 5/5 creature with flying and ward 2.

It’s worth a whopping $3,000 right now!
