Nintendo Switch Online July Additions Include a Wario Classic

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 headlines Nintendo's latest additions to its classic game catalogue, with more retro titles from both the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance.

While technically a Super Mario Land threequel, the very first Wario Land barely features Nintendo's mascot at all, and instead establishes his naughty rival as a true video game star in his own right. Fans of later Wario Land titles will see where much of the series' gameplay originates — as the money-loving antihero searches for gold and treasures via various side-scrolling levels.

Originally released for the Game Boy back in 1994, you can now enjoy Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 on Switch and Switch 2 now, if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Other Game Boy titles now available include a so-so JRPG from Kemco, The Sword of Hope 2, and an okay top-down shooter from Jaleco, Fortified Zone.

Finally, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with the fancier Expansion Pack tier also now have access to Dr. Mario & Puzzle League, which brings two puzzle games for the price of one.
